Rezky Khrisrachmansyah

I have a background in landscape architecture and urban design, my research focus is on urban-rural river systems, examining both their ecological functions and human dimensions. My work primarily investigates landscape fragmentation in riverine environments, exploring how tree cover and green spaces dynamically change over time. I view rivers as vital natural conduits that shape surrounding landscapes while providing environmental benefits and critical social.

To analyze these spatial dynamics, I integrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing tools, FRAGSTATS, and RStudio. My research employs buffer analysis, cell-size variations, vegetation health indices, and landscape metrics to understand patterns of fragmentation driven by natural and anthropogenic factors. Furthermore, I combine spatial and ecological data with ground-truth validation to study how fragmentation impacts and affects local communities residing along river networks. My empirical focus particularly addresses the deteriorating condition of urban river ecosystems in Ciliwung River, Indonesia.

In 2024, I conducted independent research as a visiting PhD scholar at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), where I presented my findings and engaged in collaborative discussions with fellow academics and researchers.
