The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has delivered another outstanding performance in the UK league tables, securing top-five rankings across its core disciplines in the latest Guardian University Guide and The Times UK University Rankings.
The results recognise the strength of the School’s core disciplines, with each achieving a place among the UK’s top five:
- General Engineering achieved 2nd place in the Guardian University Guide 2027.
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering achieved 4th place in The Times UK University Rankings 2027, with particularly strong scores for Teaching Quality, Student Experience, and Graduate Prospects.
Together, these rankings highlight the breadth and quality of education across the School, as well as the hard work of staff and students across its subject areas.
These results contribute to some impressive results for the wider Faculty of Engineering at Sheffield, highlighting the University’s breadth of high-quality engineering education across a range of specialist disciplines.
