Profile

I am a qualitative researcher currently working on an evaluation of Same Day Emergency Care services in the NHS and on support for people after cardiac surgery (Project CARE). I am also engaged in preparing a bid for funding for support for adults on ADHD waiting lists. I formerly worked on the New Roles in Mental Health project (NIHR funded) which looked at the implementation of new staff roles in Mental Health Trusts.

I previously worked for many years in the field of patient information and clinical governance in the NHS and Macmillan Cancer Support.

My PhD in Health Informatics explored the use of online support groups for people with alcohol problems, and their impact on user beliefs about drinking. I am also interested in the wider use of the Internet and social media for support and information about health
