Introduction to regression (in-person)

In this workshop we will look at correlation and regression. We will consider the relationship between correlation coefficients and regression models and describe the differences. We will then discuss Simple Linear Regression and use that as a basis to gain an understanding of Multiple Regression models. Finally, we will learn how to interpret the key statistics involved in a regression model in context.

This workshop designed as an introduction for anyone considering using using a regression model as part of a research project. It would also be suitable for anyone who would like to understand the idea of a regression model.

There is no required pre-knowledge for this workshop but understanding how to interpret a p-value will be helpful. You can recap this material using our online Introduction to Hypothesis Testing.
